Ellie Goulding Magazine Advert
Ellie's advert is effective as its able to catch your eye due to bright and bold themes. First of all, the title is at the bottom in the middle of the page, the font is a classy type in a golden colour; this is able to join perhaps into the name 'Goulding' 'Gold'. This could be the reason why the cover is designed in golden/black colours. The font of Ellie's magazine font is generally the same, this is due to recognition from the public.
The main image of Ellie is in the center of the page, it's a close up of her face, she is looking into the distance. This could suggest when listening to Ellie's music, it's able to open your eyes and you can see further. Also, the colour of Ellie's hair is also a golden blonde colour; this is able to link into the theme of the whole page, this enables it to flow and be more effective. Her skin colour is also a golden sun kissed colour, this is also able to link into the colour themes; it gives a professional touch, and also gives a hint of a fairytale look.
The background also looks effective and eye catching as it's gold and black, it looks glittery as if the sun is shining through her hair. Her hair additionally gives a look of beautiful golden locks, this can link in with the fairytale "Goldy Locks and the Three Bears" due to her hair looking like luscious blonde locks; the three bears conjoinly can represent her other two albums that may not of been up to standards; but her current one, feels perfect to her.
The lighting additionally, is able to represent Ellie's two different appereances. The dark side of her face is able to represent her deep emotions that she only expresses through her music, for example in "Beating Heart" Ellie expresses her true feelings, form deep down. The light side of her face can be able to represent the "act" she puts on to the public, this is her Star Persona that Ellie shows everyone, it is so light as she does not show any feelings
The reviews are also in the center of the page, this could represent how Ellie feels about reviews; their the center of her career. Due to the fact her first review is from "The Times" which is a big selling newspaper which is very successful; can indicate her album is up to high standards.
